Meet The Owners
Co-Owner/Director Jenn Rathbun
Jenn has been in the childcare field her whole life. She was raised in a home daycare. Completed her internship for Head Start and eventually worked there for four years. After the birth of her oldest child, she decided to open her own licensed in home daycare for a total of 13 years. The opportunity to transition to a center became available where she partnered with her neighbor/friend/ and fellow daycare owner Connie Wellman. Brite Beginnings Childcare Center opened in July 2019. Jenn completed her bachelor's degree in Education and Human Development with an emphasis in Early Childhood Development from Western Michigan University, June 2024
Co-Owner/Office Assistant: Connie Wellman
Connie had a licensed in home daycare for 13 years. When the opportunity came to expand to a center she thought of her neighbor/friend/and fellow daycare provider, Jenn. The 2 of them combined their in-home daycares to open Brite Beginnings Childcare Center in Hastings, MI. Connie completed her CDA in 2022
